A plot of green belt land for sale in Aintree has the potential for future housing developments.
The 26 acres of land on Aintree Lane is found before Hancocks Swing Bridge that leads to Wango Lane. The plot runs alongside the Leed/Liverpool canal, next to Kirkby Valley golf course.
On the market with Venmore, the land is listed at £520,000 with offers being accepted until the end of October 2022. Subject to planning permission from Sefton Council, the land could get approval for new homes to be built on it.

Last year, a new housing development was approved on the opposite side of the canal, on Wango Lane. Work is underway on the estate after plans by developer Mullberry Homes for 53 homes were approved.
The 53-home proposal was already itself an increase on the original application to build 43 homes, while the Local Plan suggested only 25 homes on the site. With the Wango lane land being smaller than what’s on offer off Aintree Lane, it could be assumed that more than 50 homes could be approved on the site, if planning permission was accepted.
The Venmore listing reads: “Fantastic opportunity to purchase 26 acres in green belt in Aintree with the potential for future development subject to planning from Sefton Council. We are inviting offers by formal tender by 31st October, please call our Allerton branch to enquire with our Land and New Homes team.” View the listing here.
