Aiden McGeady Hibs Lee Johnson Portugal Celtic Steve Kean Sunderland Darren McGregor Gareth Evans Jair Tavares

Hibs are hoping to tie up a deal for Aiden McGeady this weekend and have him on board when they head to Portugal to begin their warm weather pre-season training camp, according to a report.

The Daily Record claim the Easter Road side are pushing hard to get a deal over the line for the former Celtic and Sunderland man in the coming days to make the 36-year-old Lee Johnson's latest signing in his major summer recruitment drive in the capital.

Republic of Ireland international McGeady will have a medical and barring any glitches will team up with his former Black Cats boss once again after departing the Stadium of Light this summer following the expiry of his contract.
