AI Supercomputer Predicts League One January Transfers

The January transfer window is set to be extremely active in League One, with Patrick Bamford making the most notable movement according to our AI Supercomputer.

AI Supercomputer Predicts January Transfer Window In League One

Top 5 Most Notable League One Transfers: Incoming

  1. Patrick Bamford: Leeds to Wrexham – £4.5m
  2. Ali Al-Hamadi: Ipswich to Charlton – Loan Deal
  3. Aaron Connolly: Sunderland to Wycombe – Loan Deal
  4. Cristian Shpendi: Cesena to Reading – £4m
  5. Yael Mouanga: Montpellier to Barnsley – £2m

Kicking off this list is Leeds United striker, Patrick Bamford, who is set to make a stunning move to Wrexham in the upcoming January window.

The 31-year-old has been a talisman for Leeds in the past, but has made just six appearances for Daniel Farke this season and is yet to score.

A move to Wrexham would be an interesting option for both parties, as the Welsh side look to make it three consecutive promotions.

Next on the AI predictions is another striker, with Ipswich Town’s Ali Al-Hamadi joining Charlton on loan after failing to make an impact for the Tractor Boys in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has struggled with injury and has accumulated just 35 minute in the top-flight, meaning a loan move could be perfect to rejuvenate his career.

Aaron Conolly is another player who could drop down into League One according to our AI Supercomputer, as he joins high-flying Wycombe on loan from Sunderland.

The 24-year-old has failed to score or assist in his six Championship appearances for Sunderland this year and may need a change of scenery to find his confidence.

A name that might not be too familiar for League One fans is Cristian Shpendi, but the Albania could be on his way to Reading this January.

The 21-year-old is currently the top scorer in Serie B, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances and he also scored 20 goals in 32 matches for Cesena last season.

Signing a goalscorer may be exactly what Reading need, as their leading scorer this season is Sam Smith, who has scored just five league goals.

Lastly, our AI Supercomputer has picked Yael Mouanga to join Barnsley from Montpellier as the 19-year-old has fell out of favour in France.

Top 5 Most Notable League One Transfers: Outgoing

  1. Ricky Jade-Jones: Peterborough to Sheffield United – £5m
  2. Richard Kone: Wycombe to Swansea – £4.5m
  3. Dion Sanderson: Birmingham to Norwich – £4m
  4. Arthur Okonkwo: Wrexham to Nantes – £3.4m
  5. Lee Buchanan: Birmingham to Hoffenheim – £3m

Ricky Jade-Jones was rumoured with a move to Sheffield United during the summer transfer window but a deal failed to materialise.

Our AI software believes that this deal could be completed in January, but his price will have increased after contributing to five goals so far this season.

Next on the list is Wycombe talisman, Richard Kone, who is set to join Swansea for around £4.5 million after scoring eight goals for Matt Bloomfield’s side so far.

Wycombe are unbeaten in their last 12 League One matches, currently sitting on a streak of six straight wins and will not be looking to be dislodged from their table-topping position.

Dion Sanderson is the next prediction on our AI list, as he joins Norwich from Birmingham for around £4m and his performances warrant a step up.

The first move away from England is next, as Arthur Okonkwo swaps Wrexham for Nantes and this would be a major loss for Ryan Reynolds and co.

Lastly we have Lee Buchanan, who has been a revelation for Birmingham this season, as he joins Bundesliga side Hoffenheim – in hopes of turning their season around.
