Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made its way onto the enterprise agenda. The difficult part now begins after the investment is approved. Leaders have to decide which use cases deserve to move forward, what should be built internally, where external platforms make more sense, and how much change the organisation is ready to absorb. They also have to know when a pilot has proved enough to justify a larger rollout.
There is no single playbook for these decisions. A bank scaling AI has different constraints from a consumer business. A technology company may move faster than a large legacy organisation. A startup can experiment differently from an enterprise operating across multiple markets. That is why the most useful conversations today are moving away from broad predictions about AI and towards how businesses are actually making decisions around it.
