AHMEDABAD: The management of NHL Medical College was puzzled when a newly admitted student approached the authority concerned requesting to be shifted from the boys hostel to the girls' hostel, as he has been facing problems in the boys hostel.
The student also expressed a desire to get sex reassignment surgery. When the first-year student approached the authorities saying he feels he is female and is uncomfortable living with male students and wants to move to the girls hostel, the case was referred to the psychiatry department for consultation and counselling.
