NEW DELHI: Ahead of the crucial Supreme Court hearing on Thursday, the Delhi police recorded the statements of women wrestlers who have lodged sexual harassment complaints against Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) sidelined president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
TOI has learnt that out of the seven complainants, the police has recorded statements of five wrestlers. "Out of the seven complainants, one is a minor. The statement of the minor was recorded two days ago without issuing a formal notice (by the police) to her. The remaining six were sent notices and, to the best of my knowledge, the statements of four of them have been recorded. I hope the police will record the statements of the remaining two ahead of the hearing," senior advocate Narender Hooda, representing the women wrestlers, informed.
