Manchester United fans have urged Jadon Sancho to persuade Jude Bellingham to join him at Old Trafford after the Reds' star sent a message to the Borussia Dortmund man.
Despite their burgeoning relationship in the Bundesliga being brought to an end in the summer as a result of the 21-year-old's move to United, the West Midlands-born playmaker continues to illustrate his qualities for BVB with Sancho singing his praises on social media.
The 18-year-old was a man on a mission in the Europa League for Marco Rose's side as they looked to overturn their 4-2 first-leg deficit against Rangers.
Bellingham provided a glimmer of hope in the reverse tie before inspiring the German side to within touching distance of a miraculous turnaround with a goal and assist — prompting Sancho to lavish praise on his England teammate.
He tweeted: "Jude Bellingham, what a player."
The tweet prompted a number of United fans to plead for Sancho to pull a few strings and bring Bellingham with him to Manchester.
In the short period that the two England internationals played together, they won the DFB Pokal after overcoming RB Leipzig in the final prior to Sancho's effort.
With Paul Pogba's impending departure from Old Trafford, United will be in need of a midfielder and clearly Bellingham would be an attractive proposition, having been of interest to the club before his Dortmund move.
The 18-year-old still has three years left on his deal at Signal Iduna Park.
