After scam, Haryana Police re-verifying passports made between January 2018 and December 2021

GURUGRAM: The Haryana Police has begun the task of verifying the passports given out between 2018 and 2021 in the state, months after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) unearthed 100 cases of fake travel documents, most of which were allegedly forged in Karnal with the help of cops and officials.

Officials said on Thursday that additional director of police (law and order) Navdeep Singh Virk had last month directed all district police chiefs to re-verify the applications received in the four-year period.
