LUCKNOW: With a surge in Covid-19 cases in neighbouring Delhi and its ripple effect in bordering districts, the Uttar Pradesh government has made wearing of masks compulsory for people in public places in state capital Lucknow and six NCR districts: Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahr and Baghpat.
Issuing instructions at a meeting with Team 9, CM Yogi Adityanath also directed officials to scale up monitoring in the western UP districts.
