Several African countries have voiced their apprehension following Iran's recent attack on Israel. South Africa, in particular, has emphasized the importance of all parties involved in the conflict to refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions in the already fragile region. The country's Department for International Relations and Cooperation urged the global community not to overlook the ongoing war in Gaza, highlighting the devastating impact of conflicts on ordinary civilians.

Nigeria also called for restraint from both Iran and Israel, urging them to avoid a broader conflict in the Middle East. The Nigerian Foreign Ministry stressed the significance of peaceful conflict resolution for the advancement of global peace and security.

Kenya's President William Ruto condemned Iran's attack, stating that it has exacerbated an already delicate situation in the Middle East. Ruto called on all peace-loving nations to denounce the attack and urged Israel to exercise maximum restraint in response.

Similarly, Somalia urged all parties involved to halt further escalation and exercise utmost restraint to prevent a further deterioration of the situation. The Somali foreign ministry underscored the threat that rising hostilities pose to regional stability and global security, emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza.

These statements from African nations reflect the growing concern over the recent developments in the Middle East and the potential implications for peace and stability in the region. The calls for restraint and peaceful conflict resolution underscore the shared commitment to promoting global peace and security.
