AFL:North to take Curtis three-match ban to AFL tribunal

North Melbourne will go to the AFL tribunal to contest Paul Curtis's three-game rough conduct ban.

West Coast wingman Hamish Davis was left concussed in the first quarter of Saturday's match and forced out of the game after Curtis tackled him.

The incident was deemed careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

Davis's arms were pinned in the tackle, leaving him vulnerable.

Curtis unsuccessfully went to the tribunal last year to contest his three-match suspension for a tackle on Port Adelaide's Josh Sinn.

The hearing will be on Tuesday night.

The tribunal will also receive a written submission from Gold Coast about Daniel Rioli's fine for umpire contact.

If the Rioli fine is upheld, the Suns are at risk of an AFL fine up to $50,000, because it would be their fifth umpire contact penalty this season.
