Afghanistan unlikely to give NOCs to Mujeeb, Naveen and Farooqi to play IPL

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is not expected to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen Ul Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi for the upcoming two years, raising uncertainty about their participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.

As per an ACB statement, the board has opted to postpone the issuance of annual contracts for the year 2024 to these players. This decision comes in light of their request to be released from their central contracts starting January 1. The ACB has formed a "dedicated committee to thoroughly investigate the matter" before making any decisions.
