COLOMBO: Afghanistan will ‘host’ a one-off Test against New Zealand at the Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida in September, TOI has learnt.
This will be the maiden Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand. Interestingly, while Australia have refused to play Afghanistan bilaterally thrice since the Taliban took over in 2021 on the grounds that the Taliban has imposed restrictions on female participation in sports, their neighbours New Zealand seem to have taken an entirely different stance on the issue.
