Affordable homes for first-time buyers in Greater Manchester that are cheaper than most on the market

Property prices are at an all time high, and with the average house price in Greater Manchester now £242,386, it is becoming more and more difficult for first-time buyers across the region. According to Halifax, the average age of a first-time homebuyer in the UK has now risen to 32, as people are having to wait a lot longer and save up a much bigger deposit to get onto the property ladder.

In Greater Manchester's cheapest boroughs of Bolton, Oldham and Wigan, first-time buyers are much more likely to find an affordable home due to homes being priced much lower than elsewhere in the region.

There are a range of suitable starter homes for sale at the moment ranging from ones that are ready to move, to doer upper homes that require some DIY but will be a great investment to buy and sell on later down the line.
