AEW Dynamite recently aired exclusive backstage footage of a real-life altercation involving CM Punk and Jack Perry at AEW All In. The segment was a response to CM Punk's interview with Ariel Helwani regarding the incident. The footage depicted CM Punk engaging in a brief scuffle with one of AEW's Four Pillars, showcasing Punk's toughness in a one-sided fight.
The Young Bucks addressed the situation during the show, attributing their loss to FTR at All In to the distraction caused by the backstage altercation. They aired the footage, confirming some of Punk's claims while adding a few punches thrown by Punk. FTR followed with a promo aligning themselves with AEW.
