AED 91.4 million raised: Dubai’s ‘most noble number’ charity auction supports child hunger campaign

A major fundraising drive in Dubai has generated more than AED 1.14 billion in support of the Edge of Life campaign, a global humanitarian initiative launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign aims to raise at least AED 1 billion to help rescue five million children from hunger worldwide, bringing together international philanthropic organisations, business leaders and individual donors.

The total amount raised includes over AED 1.049 billion in pledges and contributions, alongside AED 91.405 million generated through the Most Noble Number charity auction, which was held in Dubai. The auction and pledges were announced during a Suhoor event organised by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) at the Armani Dubai Hotel in Burj Khalifa.
