Oscar Piastri's dream of becoming world F1 champion has been dealt a potentially fatal blow after he could only finish third behind his two title rivals in qualifying at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
But while he'll start behind Red Bull's polesitter Max Verstappen and McLaren teammate, championship leader Lando Norris in Sunday's title decider, the Australian insists he's still not giving up hope of a maiden crown.
And long-odds outsider Piastri, who must finish in the race's top two to have any chance of triumphing, is also offering no guarantees he'll help Norris under team orders, shrugging after Saturday's qualifying: "We'll still discuss it.
