Advanced Micro Devices Dips on Lower FCF, But Short Put Plays Attract Value Investors

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) reported strong Q2 revenue and earnings growth on August 4, but its free cash flow dipped below Q1 levels. Nevertheless, AMD is undervalued, and a 10% lower short put play yields 3.5% over one month.

AMD closed at $483.36, down 6.8% from $518.58 on Aug. 4 before the earnings release. However, it's up from a recent trough of $429.56 on July 29. But it could have 25% more upside.
