Adults say more than 1,000 negative things about their appearance each year – with these comments mostly focused on their hair, skin, and weight.
One in five Brits (21%) are their own biggest critics, according to a study of 2,000 people – but 27% wouldn’t dream of saying some of the things they say about themselves to others.
Other areas people are self-critical of include their teeth, stomach and legs.
