Adult learners can 'create their own miracles'

Growing up in a traditional family in regional Pakistan, Rabia Aftab had to battle hard to get an education.

She railed against her parents expectations that she drop out of school and marry, rejected suitor after suitor and even went on a hunger strike in a bid to graduate, then complete an undergraduate degree and finally her masters in psychology.
