Dog lovers rejoice—the terrified canine found tied to a fence and belly deep in water hours before Hurricane Milton hit Tampa Bay has been given a new name, and a new lease on life.
Staff at the Leon County Humane Society in Tallahassee shared in a Facebook update that they chose to name the rescued dog "Trooper" because of "how much he's been through" and to honor the law enforcement officers who saved him.
