Standing out in a rescue centre is challenging - but this precious pooch has come up with a cunning solution.
Five-year-old Skips has posed behind an 'adopt me' sign in hopes his picture will be shared "far and wide" to help him pin down new owners.
The Staffordshire bull terrier has spent months at Jerry Green Dogs Rescue, in Algarkirk, South Lincolnshire, but has been unable to secure a new home for unknown reasons.
Staff have described him as a "very loving" boy who would quickly become his owner's shadow, following them around wherever they go.

A spokesperson said: "He is absolutely full of love and kisses. He is so excited to give his new family some big kisses.
"Skips is quite a big strong chap and at times he forgets his size, especially when he's trying to squeeze close to his friends on the sofa."
Skips needs an experienced owner, preferably with knowledge of his breed or similar.
He would prefer to live in an adult-only, pet-free home with no visiting young children.
"He can get very worried when meeting people for the first time, so he would need slow introductions at the centre with everyone who lives in the household on multiple occasions," the spokesperson added.
"It is important that his new adopters live close to the centre.
"He would like a quiet life with a very low visitor load and a nicely sized secure garden that is secure if that is not too much to ask.
"He can become quite attached. He would prefer to have his owners to be around most of the time but he should be able to cope with being left for two to four hours."
Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been transforming the lives of abandoned and unwanted dogs for almost 60 years.
Founded by dog lover Jerry Green, the rescue centre opened their first site in North Lincolnshire in in 1961.
Since then, another three sites have opened – one in South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
This enables the dogs to move around each site if they’re unable to secure their forever home at their initial placement.
A spokeswoman said: "All dogs deserve a good life and a safe, loving home. We exist to provide a safe place for homeless dogs and to find new loving places for them to live."
They stand by the motto: "Once a Jerry Green dog, always a Jerry Green dog."
