PATNA: There has been an alarming increase in chronic kidney disease with the recent changes in lifestyle and dietary habits of people. One out of 10 adult suffers from kidney disease and at least one member in every second or third family faces some sort of nephrological disorder, say health experts.
As the medical institutions and health societies of the state are gearing up to celebrate ‘World Kidney Day’ on Thursday, experts caution the people against indiscriminate use of drugs and junk food which invariably causes kidney ailments. Early detection and treatment can keep chronic kidney disease from getting worse, they say.
