Adele to cash in on US fame by 'launching lingerie brand and selling perfume'

Adele is reportedly planning to launch a host of products in the United States in a bid to cash in on her current success stateside.

The Someone Like You Singer, 34, is said to be ready to launch a lingerie brand, as well as begin selling items such as jewellery perfume and clothing.

The claims come as the Brit singer continues to enjoy her delayed Las Vegas residency, which is to run until March 2023.

Her firm, Melted Stone, previously filed to use the name "1,2, Free" for a trademark for goods in the US after already gaining approval for the brand in the UK.

It's said that "articles of underclothing" are included on the list of items within the application. Other items are said to include headgear, bags, backpacks, wallets and key fobs.

Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: "This venture could see her selling a wide range of items — particularly in the lucrative American market where she is huge.

"It shows that as well as being a great singer-songwriter, Adele is a canny businesswoman."

The Mirror has contacted Adele's representatives for comment.

The claims come in the middle of Adele's hugely anticipated Vegas residency, which recently saw her in tears on stage because of England's World Cup exit to France.

Last week, the star was emotional as she opened up to fans about her experience with therapy in the aftermath to her divorce from ex husband Simon Konecki.

She revealed she would have sessions with a therapist five times a day as she tried to overcome her heartbreak in 2019. Adele and Simon were married for three years and share 10-year-old son Angelo. Adele is currently dating Rich Paul.

While talking to the audience on stage at her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum in Caesar's Palace, she said: "I started having therapy again because I went a few years without. I needed to start.

"Before, obviously, when I was going through my divorce I was basically having five therapy sessions a day.

"But I stopped holding myself accountable for my own behaviour and the things I would say.

"But now I am doing it because I just want to make sure I'm topping myself up every week to make sure I can give you everything."
