Adele thanks fans 'from the bottom of my heart' as Munich concerts smash records

Adele has issued and emotional message to fans following the end of her record-breaking 10-night residency in Munich.

Over 730,000 fans from all over the world flocked to the Bavarian capital to see the London-born megastar in a custom-built open-air arena at the Messe in Riem.

Not only was it the largest temporary arena ever built, the Someone Like You hitmaker’s shows also registered the highest attendance of any concert residency outside Las Vegas.

Adele’s host city was overjoyed as it also gave a spending boost of more than 540 million Euros to the Munich economy.

Reflecting on her run in a statement, Adele said: “Munich, thanks so much for welcoming me to your beautiful city so warmly.

“To the many people who helped organise these events and let me put on the most spectacular show, thank you for taking the chance on me and letting me go out with a bang. I’m so grateful.“Last but not least – to every single person who has made the enormous efforts to come to these shows, it truly means the world to me, thank you from the very very bottom of my heart. I’ll never forget it.”

She signed off with “Love, Adele,” followed by a kiss.

Adele has spent the past two years playing a weekend residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which is set to conclude on November 23.After this, she has warned fans “I will not see you for an incredibly long time” as she intends to take a break from music.

Addressing the crowd at her last date in Munich, Adele - who recently got engaged to sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul - said: “I just need a rest and I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now, I want to live my new life that I've been building."
