Adele surprises fans as she confirms BRIT Awards performance after axing Las Vegas shows

Adele has confirmed she is going to perform at the upcoming BRIT Awards this month, sharing the news on Instagram.

The songstress, 33, took to her social media on Tuesday to announce the exciting news amid recent rumours over the weekend that she pulled out of the performance.

Setting the record straight, the Hello hitmaker revealed she will be at London's O2 Arena for the main event.

She wrote: "Hiya, so I’m really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!"

The songstress also revealed she will be making an appearance on BBC1's The Graham Norton Show while she's back in the city.

She added: "Anddddd I’ll also be popping in to see Graham for a chat on the couch while I’m in town too! I’m looking forward to it!"

Her surprising news comes after she axed her Las Vegas residency - causing upset to her fans.

The superstar infuriated many of her fans when she called off her shows in Sin City at the last minute.

British fans who flew out to Vegas to watch the singer perform were particularly frustrated at her cancellation.

Over the weekend, it was also reported she had pulled out of her scheduled BRIT Awards performance, too.

BRIT bosses were said to be "scrambling to find alternative arrangements" for the annual awards show on February 8.

A source told The Sun: "Adele was confirmed to perform on the night, but has now pulled out — which has been a massive blow for the organisers.

"They are talking to her team to see if she can appear by videolink.

"It's a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree."

But now there's no need for show bosses to panic as the songstress will be attending the annual ceremony when it happens next week.

Sources have also claimed the real reason Adele cancelled her Vegas shows is due to her relationship with Rich Paul being "on the rocks".

An insider says Adele stopped rehearsals to make important calls to her boyfriend and was also seen breaking down in tears.

The source told New York Daily News: "There's trouble in paradise. That's why she can't perform."

Adele has reportedly spent the past week at boyfriend Rich Paul's home as the pair look to salvage their relationship.

The Easy On Me singer has been dating the millionaire sports agent since the middle of last year but it's thought that time apart has put a strain on their relationship.

Rich, 40, has been on the road with his work while Adele has been in Las Vegas preparing for her now postponed residency, meaning the pair have struggled to see each other.

A source told The Sun: "Adele is staying at Rich’s house in Beverly Hills just trying to fix their relationship because things have become strained.

"She was upset he couldn’t be there with her when things started falling apart with the residency and it made things difficult for them both. She needed him there, but he couldn’t because he has his own busy career too.

"It was a very emotional and stressful time for her. Now they are spending some quality time together to try to save things."

The source added that the pair really like each other still despite the fact it's been a tough few weeks.
