Adele's jibe at BRITs as she picks up new gender-neutral Artist of the Year gong

Adele made a jibe at the BRIT Awards' new gender-neutral awards as she picked up Artist of the Year tonight.

The Someone Like You singer took home one of the top prizes at the ceremony in London this evening, one of three gongs she picked up tonight including Song of the Year for Easy On Me and Mastercard Album of the Year.

The pop star is the first winner of the Artist of the Year award, with the awards previously being split into genders and were known as Best British Male and Best British Female in the past.
