Adele Roberts has shared the good news that she is now cancer free after a battle with the condition. The BBC Radio 1 DJ says the moment she was told 'you’re free of cancer' took her breath away.
The 43-year-old, who had been battling bowel cancer, described it as 'the most beautiful sound' she had ever heard and keep replaying the conversation in her mind. She has showed her gratitude to her doctor and all those who have supported her in a statement on Instagram.
Adele admitted that at her darkest moments, it took all her strength to get out of bed and face the day. But she added that the constant battle to ensure the illness didn't 'destroy her spirit' has made her 'happier than she has ever been'.
