Adele 'refuses' Caesars Palace suite and stays at rival hotel during Las Vegas residency

Adele's hugely anticipated Las Vegas residency got underway on Friday night, but there already seems to be trouble behind the scenes.

While the Easy On Me singer, 34, wowed the crowds at Caesars Palace, it's suggested the singer was far from happy with the luxury suite offered to her by the hotel's bigwigs.

The iconic Vegas hotel is said to have offered their superstar a swanky room in the Palazzo Suits at the Rio Casino for her duration. The room comes with a butler and it was reportedly all set up for Adele to spend her time holed up with son Angelo and boyfriend Rich Paul while the shows took place until March.

But she's allegedly turned her nose up at the offering, instead opting to set up camp at rival Wynn resort a short jaunt down the strip.

Her chosen accommodation comes in the style of a bungalow on the resort's golf course and comes with its own bar, two marble bathrooms and housekeeping of the 3,224 sq ft space twice daily.

It's set to offer more privacy to the star and her loved ones as it comes with its own private driveway.

A source told the Daily Mail : "It’s not clear what caused the move, but obviously it is unusual for Adele not to be staying at Caesars and locally gossip has been spreading.

"Vegas is well used to divas, and I am sure that the feeling is that whatever makes her feel comfortable is OK, but this is embarrassing for Caesars."

Another source claimed the singer had a "hissy fit" over her room after she had expected to have been offered a pad in the Augustus Tower - the most exclusive part of the property.

The Mirror has contacted Adele's representatives for comment.

Friday's show opener saw the Tottenham native apologise to her adoring crowd for having to delay the initial run of concerts earlier in the year.

The singer admitted she was "sh***ing herself" on the residency opener after a 10-month wait.

She told the audience: "It is really mad to be from Tottenham and be in f***ing Las Vegas," before opening up on how she felt after cancelling in the first place.

She added: "It is the worst feeling I have ever had, but the best decision I have ever made when it comes to my career. And I do stand by it all. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I caused."
