Adelaide United coach Carl Veart has refused to enter into any conversation around 17-year-old sensation Nestory Irankunda and his much-anticipated move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Following a 5-1 thumping at the hands of Sydney FC on Saturday night, Veart promptly shut down any questions regarding the attacker after the strongest indication yet about the move surfaced online.
Following months of rumours and speculation, multiple outlets were reporting the deal was all but done, amid talk of a verbal agreement being in place between the two clubs for Stg 3 million ($A5.8 million) plus add-ons.
"Look, I'm not here to answer any questions about Nestory," Veart said.
"I'll talk about the game and that's it."
When pressed further whether an agreement had been reached and the transfer was officially done, Veart again refused to confirm or deny.
"We'll find out in time," he said.
"Let's talk about the game. There's been far too much talk about that, let's just focus on the game and what happens with Nestor will happen and it will come out in time."
Irankunda was unavailable for the Reds' clash against Sydney after collecting two yellow cards in United's previous outing, a 1-1 draw against Melbourne Victory.
The absence of his attacking power and pace was noticeable as United found themselves behind after just four minutes when Joe Lolley broke the deadlock.
Lolley added a second on 13 minutes before young midfielder Jaiden Kucharski bagged a brace to make it 4-0 at halftime.
Fabio added a fifth for Sydney almost immediately after the restart.
Veart was disappointed with his side's performance.
"We made far too many mistakes and we just didn't recognise what was happening in the game," he said.
"We didn't want to give them any opportunities in the first 15 minutes and we virtually played into their hands and it was game over after that."
