The Adelaide 36ers have signed NBA championship winner Ian Clark for the rest of the NBL season.
Clark, 31, played 330 NBA games between 2013 and 2019, and alongside Steph Curry was part of the Golden State Warriors' back-court that posted the most dominant play-offs record in NBA history during the 2016/17 season.
Aside from winning the championship with the Warriors, Clark played for the New Orleans Pelicans, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets during his time in the NBA.
He replaces former 36ers import Craig Randall II, who was cut by the team because of chemistry issues.
Clark is expected to be available for the seventh-placed 36ers in their game against South East Melbourne on Christmas Eve.
He filled a similar role for the Sydney Kings last season, coming in for injured import RJ Hunter midway through the campaign, and went on to play a crucial role off the bench in their run to the championship.
"To bring someone like Ian in is great for our group," Adelaide coach CJ Bruton said in a statement.
"He's a winner, he knows what it takes to get it done in this league, but most importantly he's a great teammate.
"We are excited to add Ian to our squad. Now it's all about getting him here and getting him up to speed with our game plan."
Clark will come up against his former teammates at least once, when the 36ers host the Kings on February 3.
Shaun Bruce, also a member of the Kings' championship-winning bench, says it will feel strange planning a scouting report to keep Clark quiet.
"It'll be tough," he said.
"He's a great player and obviously we saw what he could do for us.
"But I'm excited for him that he's healthy and he's got an opportunity to play.
"He's going to bring a lot to Adelaide."
