Addicted to black coffee? Tamannaah Bhatia's fitness coach explains what happens when you drink it for 30 days

Can a simple coffee swap help reduce sugar intake, support weight loss and even benefit liver health if you drink it for 30 days straight? According to fitness coach Siddhartha Singh, who has worked with actress Tamannaah Bhatia, replacing sugary coffee with black coffee for 30 days can be a practical way to cut calories and improve eating habits if the rest of your diet stays on track.

In a recent Instagram post, Siddhartha Singh explained that black coffee is not a miracle fat-loss drink. Instead, its biggest advantage lies in what it replaces: sugar and extra calories.

Why Switching to Black Coffee Can Help

Many coffee-based beverages contain sugar, flavored syrups, creamers and whipped toppings, all of which can add huge calories to a daily diet. But if you start drinking black coffee, you will naturally reduce your calorie intake without making major changes elsewhere.

As Singh noted: "Replacing high sugar, high calorie coffee with black coffee for 30 days can naturally reduce overall calorie intake."

What Happens During the 30-Day Coffee Swap?

During the first week of coffee consumption, sugar Cravings Begin to change. The first few days can be challenging, especially for people used to sweet coffee drinks. Singh said, "Week 1: cravings feel different, slight adjustment as sugar spikes reduce"

Without frequent sugar highs, the body begins adapting to a steadier source of energy. By the second week, many people notice fewer energy crashes throughout the day.

Singh explained: "Week 2: more stable energy without constant highs and crashes" This is because blood sugar levels tend to fluctuate less when large amounts of added sugar are removed.

By third week, fat loss might become noticeable, Singh explained in the video. Weight loss is not guaranteed, but some people may start seeing changes if their overall eating habits are balanced. This is because fat loss is driven by the total number of calories consumed and burned throughout the day.

"Week 3: possible fat loss if overall diet is in check (not because coffee burns fat, but because calories are lower)"

By the fourth week, some people report reduced cravings for sweets and improved hunger management. Singh said: "Week 4: reduced sugar cravings and better appetite control for many people". This can make it easier to maintain healthy eating habits over the long term.
