Less than two weeks out from the NFL draft, insiders are starting to get an idea of what the first few picks will look like. At No. 1, the Panthers seem to be leaning towards taking Bryce Young, as the Alabama quarterback has canceled all his other visits. At No. 2, however, it seems as if there may be a surprise.
For a while, the Texans were expected to take a quarterback, but that may no longer be the case. In fact, ESPN’s Adam Schefter seems very confident that it won’t happen.
“We’ve been hearing about quarterbacks going 1, 2, 3, 4. That’s not gonna happen, I believe, in this draft,” he said. “I think Indianapolis thinks there’s a real chance right now that they could sit right where they are at four and get, potentially, the second quarterback in this draft.”
.@AdamSchefter just bet @danorlovsky7 that two QBs won't be selected before the Colts at No. 4 overall 😳 🤝

Understandably, this prediction caught the rest of the NFL Live panel by surprise, leading Schefter and Dan Orlovsky to make a bet depending on when the second quarterback comes off the board.
Additionally, Schefter seems certain that no one will trade up to No. 3 because the Texans aren’t looking at quarterbacks at No. 2.
“These teams right now seem willing to wait, they seem willing to wait,” he said. “I don’t think we’re going to see a quarterback go at two, and I think all the teams talking about trading up to three know that. So this great quarterback rush that we’ve all been expecting might start a little bit later.”
If Young does go first, then CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson and Will Levis will be the center of draft night. According to Schefter, Houston may make that more complicated, and the Colts may be the benefactor.
