Aberdeen are set to land Celtic kid Adam Montgomery on loan.
The Dons are closing in on a move for the 19-year-old for the rest of the season.
And Stephen Glass will steal in ahead of English sides and Derek McInnes' Kilmarnock in signing the youngster.
Celtic had previously agreed a deal with Killie but the Championship promotion hopefuls had to free up budget first.
Montgomery is well thought of at Celtic with Ange Postecoglou only sanctioning the transfer so his bright young talent can get regular football under his belt
He was rewarded with a new deal until 2025 last year and is seen as a future Parkhead regular.
He was involved in several of Postecoglou’s squads in Europe and domestically at the start of the season.
Montgomery can operate at left-back or in left midfield and it gives Aberdeen more options and would allow them to release Jonny Hayes further up the park.
Dons boss Glass is still working on other options.
