Adam Lallana has opened up on how he has 'some of his life back' after leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2020 to join fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion following the expiry of his contract.
The England international was signed from Southampton in 2014 for a reported £25 million and the midfielder slotted straight into Jurgen Klopp 's side one the German arrived to take over from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.
Lallana was a pressing monster for Liverpool and set the tone for what Klopp wanted to instill in his Reds side. Now at Brighton, the 34-year-old enjoys a different life to the one he had when under the guidance of Klopp on Merseyside.

Lallana appeared as a guest on the Gaz’s Golf YouTube channel and said: "When [Klopp] first came in, that was sort of his model. You’d drop the kids off, go for breakfast, but you couldn’t play golf before you trained.
"There would have been an element of that because playing for Liverpool, it’s literally your life," he said. "Whereas coming out of Liverpool, I feel like I’ve got a little bit more of a life back. Not that I didn’t enjoy it – I loved it at the time. But I love it at Brighton now for different reasons."
Lallana enjoyed the best spell of his career at Liverpool and won the Premier League and Champions League during his six years at the club.
