Adam Idah’s likely withdrawal from the Ireland squad for this week’s friendly against Latvia and next Monday’s Euro qualifier against France has still to be confirmed by the FAI.
The next squad update is not due until tomorrow morning. Idah is likely to be officially excluded at that point especially in light of his club manager, David Wagner’s, comments yesterday..
The Norwich manager said: "Adam has a foot injury and he'll be out for a few weeks.
“How many exactly? We can't say at the minute.”
If Idah misses out, he’ll join Callum Robinson, Shane Duffy and Enda Stevens on the absentee list.
France are missing two defenders, Wesley Fofana (hamstring) and William Saliba (back).
Raphael Varane retired after last year’s World Cup.
Monaco’s Axel Disasi and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo have joined the team in their place.
