Actresses Lily James and Cynthia Erivo in royal box for Wimbledon day 11

Actresses Lily James and Cynthia Erivo have taken their seats in Wimbledon’s royal box on the 11th day of the championships.

James, 37, is best known for her roles in the 2015 live-action adaption of Cinderella, and as a young Donna in the 2018 film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

The actress arrived at the south-west London grounds wearing a polka dot maxi dress paired with black sandals and sunglasses.

She was joined in the prestigious Centre Court box by Wicked star Erivo, 39, who wore a baby pink suit.

Erivo was accompanied by Paul Howells, who, alongside the actress herself, invested in the recent West End stage adaption Bram Stoker’s Dracula – in which Erivo played all 23 roles.

Also watching the action from the royal box is Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, 51, who opted for a “Wimbledon white” suit complete with a matching clutch bag and nails, nude heels and sunglasses.

Waddingham’s grand slam appearance comes days after she attended the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, where she joined stars including Queen’s Sir Brian May and singer Adele.

The Crown actor Alex Jennings and Motherland actress Anna Maxwell Martin also have a spot in the box, as well as Indian actress, singer and film producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Wimbledon regular Sir Cliff Richard donned a bright blue suit jacket embossed with gold sequins as he was photographed arriving at the tournament for fifth time this year.

Also in attendance was Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the Duke of Kent – former president of the All England Club.

Former BBC Strictly Come Dancing judge and retired ballerina Dame Darcey Bussell took her Centre Court seat in a black and white polka midi dress, worn with a black cross-body handbag and white heels.

TV sports presenter Gabby Logan embraced pastels with a light-pink summer dress and baby blue heels, while journalist and former BBC newsreader Emily Maitlis sported a blue dress with embroidered flowers.
