Danielle Brooks is currently in Los Angeles for the SAG Awards, following a demanding 13-hour flight from New Zealand where she was filming the movie adaptation of the popular video game 'Minecraft' alongside Jack Black and Jason Momoa. Despite the exhaustion, Brooks remains upbeat and excited about her nominations for the SAG Awards, including a nod for her role in 'The Color Purple.'

Brooks, a seasoned SAG Awards attendee, has previously won three statuettes as part of the ensemble cast of 'Orange Is the New Black.' This year, she is hopeful for a win and plans to deliver an acceptance speech straight from the heart.
