Actors Portraying Younger Characters Often Significantly Older In Real Life.

It's not uncommon in the entertainment industry for actors to portray characters younger than their actual age. Here are some instances where actors took on roles significantly younger than their real age:

Jenna Ortega, at 20 years old, played 16-year-old Wednesday Addams in 'Wednesday.' Austin Butler, aged 22, portrayed 17-year-old Sebastian Kydd in 'The Carrie Diaries.' Zendaya, 23, took on the role of 17-year-old Rue Bennett in 'Euphoria.' Cole Sprouse, 25, played 16-year-old Jughead Jones in 'Riverdale.' Sydney Sweeney, 22, portrayed 18-year-old Cassie Howard in 'Euphoria.'
