Actor and DJ Idris Elba is due to play a DJ set at Groovebox at the NG1 nightclub on Saturday, April 30. Although the tickets are almost sold out, there will be some released today for fans and a limited amount on the door.
Although Idris may be best known for acting roles in The Take and Luther, he is also a well-known DJ having started his career in music in 2009. Idris will be doing a two-hour DJ set from 1 am until 3 am at Groovebox, although doors will open at 10pm
Idris was originally scheduled to DJ at NG1 last year but had to pull out due to filming conflicts. The highly-anticipated event is almost sold out although there will be 100 left on the door for lucky clubbers. A further 50 are being released on Wednesday, April 27

Promoter Saul Morgan and organiser Nick Howdle are responsible for Groovebox, which has been running for two years.
Saul said: "Idris was filming something quite big and schedules clashed so we had to reschedule for this Saturday. He is coming and we have an almost sold out house. We then have a bigger festival coming up in July which will have two tents."
He added: "He has always been a DJ and I've seen him live in Ibiza. He is with Defected which is a record label but then his acting took over but DJ is his first love. We get some really big names coming to us including Patrick Topping as we work with his agency. So it's full steam ahead for this Saturday."
