Capcom is bringing the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection to the West, capitalizing on the popularity of the spinoff among the community.
The Ace Attorney franchise is probably one of the studio's most unique video game series and is a mix of court drama and slapstick comedy. After more than two decades, there is no other franchise quite like it, and is filled with lovable characters.

One particular individual, Miles Edgeworth, has been a fan-favorite among the community ever since he was introduced in the first game in the series. This eventually led to him getting his own spinoff duology, the Investigation games.
However, despite his popularity among fans, Ace Attorney: Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Gambit was never released outside of Japan. But Capcom is finally changing that with the launch of the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, according to Inverse.
Producer Shunsuke Nishida said that they have observed an increased number of fans worldwide who were becoming acquainted with the Ace Attorney series.
With how they started to play the games that were available to them, bringing Ace Attorney Investigations 2 to the West was a sound decision.
He added that they put a lot of thought into quality-of-life improvements in the upcoming game to ensure that it provides both veterans and newcomers with a more comfortable gaming experience.
The Ace Attorney Investigations games are able to set themselves apart from the mainline titles as they have different mechanics.
The spinoffs do not have the typical courtroom structure but Edgeworth still engages in battles of wits with suspects and witnesses, said GameInformer.

Players will not be taking first-person observations of crime scenes and will instead control Edgeworth directly. You walk around isometric areas in order to collect clues related to various cases that you are working on.
This gameplay ultimately represents the biggest change from the mainline Ace Attorney games as players investigate active crime scenes only a few minutes after crimes occur.
The gameplay basically has Edgeworth collecting evidence in order to support him in a theoretical courtroom battle that he will engage in.
Prior to the latest release of the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, the second game in the series had a fan translation that satiated people for a while. The community somewhat loved that project.
This even came to a point where many of the fan-translated character names have become well-known and deeply embedded in the community.
Many fans of the spinoff games were initially concerned about the official Western release not meeting expectations, but fortunately, this was not the case, according to NintendoLife.
