Accused murderer of Romeca Meeks’ walks free – the woman shot her in the face while her ex held her in a headlock

Chicago police released the woman accused of fatally shooting 31-year-old Romeca Meeks (Meeks-Blackmon) outside her child’s school.

Police took the suspect, identified on social media as Hope Johnson, into custody but released her without charges. Officials have not officially confirmed the shooter’s identity. According to the authorities, the shooting was domestic in nature. Investigators have not disclosed further details about the altercation leading up to the attack.
