
The victim was found dead at her home earlier in the day, sending shockwaves through the upscale neighborhood. Her mortal remains were later brought back from the hospital to her residence in the Amar Colony area.
According to police officials, suspicion quickly fell on a former domestic help who had been dismissed from service around one-and-a-half months ago. Investigators believe the accused may have held a grudge following his removal.
Authorities have also recovered CCTV footage that appears to show the suspect entering the house at approximately 6:28 am and leaving around 7:22 am on the day of the incident. These visuals played a crucial role in tracking and apprehending him.
Preliminary findings suggest that the victim was strangled, possibly using a charging cable, though forensic confirmation is awaited. The woman was reportedly preparing for competitive examinations, including UPSC, at the time of her death.
