AC Milan vs Chelsea prediction and odds: Aubameyang tipped to score in Champions League clash

Chelsea will be looking to go one-step closer to securing a place in the Round of 16 with a win at the San Siro as they face AC Milan just a week after their impressive win at Stamford Bridge in last week's Champions League clash. Graham Potter made seven changes at the weekend which saw his side secure a 3-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

The Blues are the favourites for their trip to Italy at 5/4 with Betfred while Milan are 23/10 and a draw is 12/5. Chelsea are undefeated in their last five meetings against the Rossoneri having lost their first meeting back in 1966.

For Stefano Pioli, he will be expecting his Serie A champions to put on a far better show than what he saw in west London last week. The former Inter Milan head coach was pleased to see his side's immediate response with a win over Italian giants Juventus at the weekend but sitting a point above bottom of Group E is not enough for the Rossoneri.

  • Chelsea to win to nil - 11/4

Betting angles

Milan have finished eight of their 12 matches this season with both teams scoring in all competitions including two of their three Champions League outings but this has not happened in their last two outings. Meanwhile, Chelsea have finished five of their 11 outings with both teams scoring but have completed back-to-back win-to-nils including last week's reverse fixture. Both teams to score is 8/11.

Chelsea have achieved a maximum seven total corners in a game since Potter came to the helm and averaged 6.75 per game while AC Milan have averaged 8.3 total corners. Under 7.5 total corners is 13/8 with Betway.

Since Potter's arrival at Stamford Bridge, the Blues average four cards per game in all competitions while Milan average 5.42 and their last meeting finished with five total cards. Over 3.5 total cards is 2/5 with Betway.

Player to watch

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on the bench for the win at the weekend at home to Wolves so I am expecting the Gabon international to start against his old club and score at the San Siro this weekend. He has clicked well under Potter so far and expect him to continue his run of form again on Tuesday night. He is 5/4 to score anytime.
