Manchester United have been joined by AC Milan in the race for Cody Gakpo, according to reports.
United are struggling for goals this season under Erik ten Hag as they have just 13 to their name in the Premier League, with even 19th-placed Leicester City scoring more. The problem was brought into focus this past week after it took 93 minutes to break down Omonia Nicosia and after they fired a blank in the goalless stalemate with Newcastle.
With only the out-of-form Cristiano Ronaldo, the repeatedly injured Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford - who missed a great, late chance against the Magpies - as striking options it's speculated that Ten Hag may move to bolster his arsenal in the January transfer window.

A name that has been repeatedly linked is PSV Eindhoven star Gakpo, who was seen as a potential alternative to Antony for United before the Brazilian was finally signed from Ajax. The versatile forward has had a good start to the season in the Netherlands and has already hit double figures in goals and assists, one of the few players in Europe to do so.
Reports continue to link United with a move for the 23-year-old in January but according to Fichajes Italian giants Milan are also interested as well as Real Madrid.
Meanwhile moving on to a forward who currently plays for Milan, according to a report by the Mirror, as cited by Football Talk, United are 'ready to rival' Chelsea for Rafael Leao.
The Portuguese forward, who can play through the middle or out wide, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent months and they are said to have tabled a £70million bid for his services.
United, though, are now reportedly interested in his signature and are ready to go head-to-head with Chelsea to secure it. It is claimed that Ten Hag recently sent scouts to watch Leao during Milan's recent Champions League clashes with Chelsea.
