Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Receives Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Deputy Chairman of the Sudan Sovereignty Council.

General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo conveyed to Sheikh Mohamed the greetings of General Abdul Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the United Arab Emrates.

Sheikh Mohamed and Dagalo discussed ways to deepen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and to enhance cooperation in various fields. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest, reported the UAE state news agency (WAM).

Dagalo briefed Sheikh Mohamed on the latest developments in Sudan.

He also renewed his country's condemnation of the recent terrorist attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the UAE, in violation of international laws and norms. He expressed Sudan's solidarity with the UAE against all threats to its security and stability.

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed underscored the UAE's commitment to continuing support to Sudan to realize the aspirations of the people for peace, stability, development and prosperity.

He expressed gratitude to Sudan for its stance in solidarity with the UAE against the Houthis' heinous terrorist attack against the UAE and wished the brotherly country and its people further stability, security and development.
