Absconding rape accused arrested by Special Task Force in Haryana

CHANDIGARH: In a major break-through, the Special Task Force of Haryana Police on Saturday arrested an absconding most wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head from Jhajjar district.

Haryana Police spokesperson said that the arrested accused has been identified as Anoop, a resident of village Chanat in Hansi. This crackdown has been made by the STF Hisar unit.

A case was registered against Anoop under various sections of the Indian Penal Code in connection with a rape on the Tikri border during the farmers' protest. Along with this, allegations were also levelled against his other associates. He had been absconding since then. A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced in the Jhajjar district on the arrest of the accused.
