NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad's South African import Aiden Markram holds the belief that Abhishek Sharma's explosive form in the IPL could pave the way for him to earn a coveted spot in the Indian national team in the near future.

Sharma has been in destructive form in the ongoing edition, boasting a strike rate of over 200 and accumulating 401 runs in 12 matches. Partnering with Australian Travis Head, the duo has formed an explosive opening pair for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their recent feat of chasing down over 160 runs in less than 10 overs against Lucknow Super Giants further underscores Sharma's prowess with the bat.
