ABERDEEN boss Jim Goodwin has been handed an eight-game suspension by the Scottish FA after his Ryan Porteous comments.
The Pittodrie boss had taken aim at the Hibs defender as he claimed "blatant cheating" lead to Liam Scales' second yellow dismissal and a penalty award.
Goodwin had been charged by the SFA over the post-match comments - and had now been ordered to serve an eight game ban with the outcome "admitted".
An SFA disciplinary update confirmed Goodwin would serve the suspension with six matches immediately and two further banning orders suspended until the end of the season 2022/23.
Goodwin faces the punishment after being charged over disciplinary rules 73 and 77.
The laws read: "Disciplinary Rule 73: No recognised football body, club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall in an interview, a ‘blog’ on the internet, on a social networking or micro-blogging site, or in any other manner calculated or likely to lead to publicity, make comment(s) of a discriminatory or offensive nature based on, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability, or that endorse or encourage foul play or violent Conduct or are otherwise offensive.
"There shall be a presumption that any material published in such a manner was published in the name of and/or with the authority of the person or body bearing to have published the material.
"Disciplinary Rule 77: A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent Conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour."
Goodwin had said after the loss to Hibs: “I don’t know how many times the boy Porteous can get away with that kind of stuff.
"We showed our players a number of instances when Porteous has won penalties like that in the past.
"People will say he’s good at it and he’s clever.
"But it’s blatant cheating as far as I’m concerned and it’s cost my team points.
"We’re telling our players to be careful with him in the box, be careful with him at set-plays and don’t touch him as he will go over.
"I actually had a laugh and a joke with the referee prior to the game to make him aware of it.
"Unfortunately, just before half-time he was sucked in hook, line and sinker. Bought it."
