Aberdeen legend Willie Miller has described Calvin Ramsay's potential move to Liverpool as 'good news for everyone concerned'.
The ECHO understands the Reds are 'confident' of completing a transfer for the teenager in a deal which could be worth around £4million plus various add-ons. The 18-year-old would provide some much needed back-up for right back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Ramsay made 33 appearances in all competitions for Aberdeen last season and registered nine assists. Miller, an Aberdeen icon, believes it's a good move for both Liverpool and the Scottish Premiership side.

"I think it's a life changing move for him," he told AberdeenLive. "You could debate that it is maybe too early, but he is obviously good enough. The quality I've seen and the Liverpool scout has seen leads us all to believe that he has the makings of a top quality club and international player.
"It's just the beginning of the journey. It by no means should be taken as anything other than an opportunity to go to a club where he will be well looked after and that has a history of Scottish international players who have played for the club as well.
"Andy Robertson is there and he will be a great help to him. If it gets over the line it's good news for everyone concerned."
Liverpool's summer business is already well underway as they've completed a deal for Fulham star Fabio Carvalho. Benfica striker Darwin Nunez is also on the verge of a move to Anfield having undergone his medical this week.
The Reds stepped up their efforts to sign Ramsay last week and made contact with Aberdeen over a move. The player is understood to favour a move to Merseyside with the opportunity to work under manager Jurgen Klopp.
